How did Scenthound get started?
Scenthound CEO and Co-Founder, Tim Vogel, and his family moved to Jupiter, Florida for a quality-of-life change. In 2005, he started a mobile grooming business which inspired what’s become the revolutionary Scenthound franchise model. Eager to provide consistent care to more dogs within the community, Tim and his wife Jessica opened their first brick-and-mortar location.
After many years in the grooming business, the Vogels recognized the opportunity to meet the needs of a massively under-served market – the 80% of dog breeds that don’t require a regular haircut. Too often, these pets weren’t getting the essential comprehensive care they needed, because many well-meaning owners defined grooming simply as styling. How many employees do I need to hire?
When launching your new Scenthound franchise, you’ll want to hire the most qualified employees and we provide management training and support that shares best practices for overall success. Do I need to hire an expert groomer for my Scenthound location?

How big is Scenthound Scenter? Is there a standard store design?
Scenthound Scenters are conveniently located in errand-intensive, mixed-use retail areas close to busy big box stores and restaurants and typically range from 1,100-1,300 square feet. We provide a purposeful store design that's focused on pet-owner education. We've learned that our members value the convenience of being able to run errands and finish their to-do list while their dog is getting their S.C.E.N.T. check.
Do you offer financing?
Scenthound does have relationships with third-party sources which offer financing that helps to cover: franchise fees, startup costs, equipment, inventory, accounts receivable, payroll, and more.
